Danish Handicraft Society (DHS) was founded in 1873.
DHS is an umbrella-organization for all interested groups- and organizations, associations or unions who are working with handicraft. Through DHS it is possible to communicate specifically about a trade or topic within handicraft.
A membership of DHS is an admission to a network within trade, fellows within interest, inspiration, new knowledge, influence, dissemination of knowledge of the trades and dissemination of the members own ideas.
DHS has 160 associations and clubs all over Denmark and about 4000 members.
DHS is cooperating with most of the trade organizations / societies in Denmark, Is a member of European- and Nordic Handicraft Ass.. and is a member of NETOP – Network for education –through witch it can secure that the handicraft trades can become a part of the educational world. NETOP is specialized in adult learning.
